University of Remote Studies Switzerland (FernUni Schweiz) Is a modern university institution and leader in the field of university distance learning in the Switzerland.

All Bachelor and Master courses Are according to Bologna Directives built up. About 1'500 students Are currently studying in German or French. At three locations in the Switzerland Our student managers supervise the students and are the contact persons for questions about the Fernstudium.

The institution is recognized:

  • By the Confederation in accordance with Article 11 of the University Promotion Act (UFG)
  • By the canton of Valais according to the cantonal law on education and research of university colleges and research institutes

Leading in the field of university distance learning

The success story of the Swiss University of Applied Sciences (FernUni Schweiz) began 25 years ago. Since 1992, we have been offering postgraduate courses at our three locations in Brig, Pfäffikon SZ and Siders. Over 1,500 students from Germany and abroad are currently studying in German or French.

All courses are based on Bologna guidelines. As a result, the courses beyond Switzerland are recognized, internationally supported and aligned.

The design of distance learning is based on the idea of ​​open, flexible and individual learning. FernUni Switzerland follows the concept of modern distance learning as a "blended learning", a combination of eLearning and classical attendance lessons. Depending on the course of study, the different proportions are different.
