Introduction
The nurse educator’s three roles are teacher, scholar, and collaborator. Nurse educators assume leadership in curriculum, instruction, and evaluation. The nurse educator is responsible for the scholarship of teaching, discovery, application, and integration. Educating the next generation of nurses also depends on the nurse educator’s ability to interact with many diverse constituencies such as students, peers, administrators, groups, and communities. They may practice in academic, staff development, or community settings. The nurse educator must choose a population focus for their studies. Options at TCU include adult-gerontology or pediatrics.
Clinical Experience
One year of full-time experience or its equivalent as a registered nurse is preferred
