Lenard And Christine Szarek Fellowship Fund
The criteria to select awardees for the Lenard and Christine Szarek Fellowship Fund for SUNY Downstate School of Public Health (SPH) Master of Public Health (MPH) and Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) are presented below:
- Academic Record: Applicants must submit an official transcript. Each applicant must also have completed 12 or more SPH academic credits with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.75 or greater.
- Resume: Each applicant must submit a recent resume which delineates his or her academic and employment record.
- Personal Statement: Each applicant must submit a personal statement of 1,000 words or less in which s/he delineates how the funding will assist him or her.
- Letter of Recommendation: Each applicant must submit a Letter of Recommendation from a faculty member of the SUNY Downstate School of Public Health.

The curriculum for the Advanced Certificate in Public Health Program will consist of five core MPH courses totaling 15 credits.
