Admission Requirements

At the time of the exam, you have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience. You can start the distance learning course with 16 months of professional experience, since you will continue to work during the course and therefore have the necessary professional experience at the time of the exam.

Duration of study and costs

Temporal outline

Distance learning (20 months)

In this phase of your distance learning course, you will receive monthly tutorials. The learning material prepares you for the examination to become a specialist in the hospitality industry IHK.

Seminar (8 days)

In the eight-day intensification seminar, you will be thoroughly prepared for your theoretical and practical exam. The seminar leads to the written IHK exam. The oral and practical exam usually takes place about six weeks later.

tuition fee

The tuition fees are €85.00 per month (total costs €1,700.00).

Normal period

The standard period of study for the course is 20 months.

At Poppe & Neumann, you conveniently pay your tuition fees in monthly course installments.

You can claim up to €4,000.00 annually for your further training at Poppe & Neumann as income-related expenses. After the end of the calendar year, you will receive a certificate from us for the annual wage tax adjustment.
