Overview

Helping to shape the future of the hospitality industry, counteracting the shortage of skilled workers in order to be able to work as a trainer in a hospitality business, the qualification of the training of the trainers is not only essential, but also mandatory.

The participants in the “AdA-Schein” seminar are regularly characterized by excellent test results and as qualified leaders. The AdA-Schein is to be completed both as an independent measure and as part of the master craftsman/specialist examination in a combined package.

The constantly growing demands on the hospitality industry require versatile and well-founded specialist knowledge from employees and managers. In addition to the actual professional trade, work-pedagogical qualifications are also required, which can only be obtained through professional training. Because in order to be able to work as a trainer in the hospitality industry, the trainer aptitude test is essential, as this has been mandatory by law since August 2009. With the title Trainer/-in IHK you not only fulfill the legal qualification but are also regarded as a competent contact person for your trainees in order to optimally prepare the specialists of tomorrow for their everyday work. In addition, the successfully completed trainer aptitude test is one of the admission requirements for advanced training (master craftsman/specialist in the hospitality industry).

course content

The basis for the distance learning course for trainers are the trainer aptitude ordinance (AEVO) and the examination regulations of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The state-tested and approved training course for trainers is characterized by the mature documents oriented towards training in the hospitality industry. Like all Poppe & Neumann distance learning courses, the training course for trainers is designed in such a way that professional activity and further training can be optimally combined.

Duration of study and costs

Temporal outline

Distance learning (6 months)

In this phase of your distance learning you will receive a total of six lessons, one per month. The subject matter prepares you for the trainer aptitude test.

Seminar and examination block (4 days)

After arriving at the training hotel on Sunday and being welcomed, you will be extensively prepared for your trainer aptitude test for two days (Monday and Tuesday) by the owner and manager of the Hotel Fernschule Poppe & Neumann (himself an examiner at the IHK Frankfurt for many years). Your written exam will take place on the following Wednesday morning. This is followed by intensive preparation for the practical and oral exam on Thursday. After successfully completing the exam, you can immediately take your exam certificate home with you.

You can register at any time - the course starts on the 1st or 15th of each month.

tuition fee

Tuition fees are €157.00 per month (total cost €942.00).

Normal period

The standard period of study for the course is 6 months.

Of course you can - without additional costs - shorten or lengthen your distance learning course individually. That depends solely on how much time you have to study and of course on whether you meet the admission requirements at the time of the exam.

Monthly payment

At Poppe & Neumann, you conveniently pay your tuition fees in monthly course installments.

You can claim up to €4,000.00 annually for your further training at Poppe & Neumann as income-related expenses. After the end of the calendar year, you will receive a certificate from us for the annual wage tax adjustment.

In order to counteract the impending shortage of skilled workers, many federal states have set up their own support programs using funds from the European Social Fund. As a recognized educational institution, you can benefit from this special subsidy for the costs of further education.
