The MSc in Business is a two years research-based program. Program Outcome

The master’s level program allows learners to focus on solving problems in the area of business and management by gaining research expertise. Unlike an MBA program which is primarily coursework-based and covers several areas of business and management, this program allows learners to focus on areas that are most relevant to the professional needs of the learner, thereby contributing to the efficiency of the employing organization as well as the global economy as a whole.

Curriculum

The admission criteria to be used for admitting learners into the program are as outlined below:

A bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 from an institution of higher learning as approved by the Academic Senate of the University, OR;

A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a related field with a CGPA between 2.50 to 2.75 from an institution of higher learning as approved by the Academic Senate of the University after rigorous internal assessment, OR;

A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with CGPA less than 2.50 from an institution of higher learning as approved by the Academic Senate of the University, with a minimum of 5 years' relevant working experience.

Applicants without a qualification in related field or relevant working experience may have to meet additional entry criteria as established by the Academic Senate of the University.

Evidence of English proficiency for applicants whose first language is not English and who have not undertaken tertiary education in English. The minimum language requirements are either:

English language proficiency level of either a minimum of IELTS band 6.0 or

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 550 (213 for computer-based test) with a TWE (Test of Written English) score of at least 5.0, or

TOEFL Internet-based Test with a minimum score of 79, or

MUET BAND 4, or PEARSON TEST OF ENGLISH with a minimum score of 59, or

Cambridge English Qualifications and Tests with a minimum score of 169, or

BULATS (Business Language Testing Service) at level 4
