HND in Business Accounting and Finance

The credits earned from an HND are equivalent to the first two years of an undergraduate programme. A majority of universities in the UK, and internationally, will give you a placement in the final (Third) year of an undergraduate degree course.

HND accounting and finance award is designed for those who wish to take up a career in accounting and/or financial administration within a range of business organisations.

HND in Business (Accounting and Finance) provides you with a wide-ranging knowledge and understanding of financial planning and limitations. It covers:

• the collection and analysis of cost data for the sake of management;
• budgetary planning and control;
• preparing financial statements for various business types along with the applicable
• legal and regulatory provisions; accounting and management control systems
• an evaluation of their effectiveness; and the taxation of individuals and limited companies

The credits earned on an HND are equivalent to the first two years of an undergraduate programme, many universities in the UK and internationally can give you a place on the third or final year of a degree course (instead of making you start at the beginning).
