Curriculum
The IU BEng in Robotics combines know-how from mechanical, electrical and control engineering while covering the basics of computer science, data science and artificial intelligence. The combination of theoretical principles and practical projects will provide you with all the necessary skills to build a career as a robotics specialist. Our programme prepares you with relevant technical skills, hands-on experience and contextual knowledge of the latest technology and industry trends. You will acquire a solid foundation in the fundamentals of robotics as well as expert insights into the Internet of Things (IoT) and automation.

Cambridge Assessment International Education / High School Diploma Study Pathway. IU is the first online university partner of Cambridge International's high school diploma pathway. By working with Cambridge, IU offers students a special chance to finish their high school diploma while studying for a bachelor's degree. Since they are required for your bachelor's degree, these high school diploma courses are free of charge. The Study Pathway is a unique 12 months course with a 150-hour workload which you take alongside your bachelor courses. The Pathway concludes with an exam that can be retaken an infinite number of times. |

After completing your bachelor’s programme in Robotics, you’ll be an expert in your field and highly employable for a wide range of roles. For example, you may enter the field of automation technology in aerospace, the chemical and automotive industry, mechanical and plant engineering or logistics.
Robotics Engineer
As a specialist in robotics, you’ll be responsible for designing machines and system components. You will design and make calculations for components, develop robot applications and software solutions. You will also be responsible for the simulation and optimisation of robots, as well as the development and support of test applications for robotics.
Project Lead Robotics
If you choose a career as a project lead in robotics, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that your projects run smoothly. You will create schedules and communicate with customers, suppliers and partners.
Automation Engineer
As an automation engineer, you will optimise control and regulation processes in large plants. You will develop solutions for automation and drive processes. In addition, you will be involved in product development through automated tests and carry out quality control.
