Career Opportunities
Once you’ve graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in International Healthcare Management, you’ll be well-positioned to embark on a career in the business and managerial departments of different healthcare companies, organisations and agencies. Depending on the electives you chose during your studies, and on the healthcare industry aspects you are most interested in, you can find a position in pharmaceutical companies, hospitals or rehabilitation centres. You could work as:
Product Manager
Product Managers are responsible for all tasks involving a specific product or service. From planning, designing and coordinating between different departments, to managing quality and taking care of after-sales: as a Product Manager, you’ll find yourself working on launching new medicine, medical devices or insurance policies. Combine business skills, a hunger for success and familiarity with the healthcare sector, and develop the basis for kickstarting a fast-paced international career.
Quality Manager
As a Quality Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that strict protocols are followed when it comes to the production, design and manufacturing of medical products, be they medicinal components or machines. You’ll perform tests, analyse performance, keep detailed documentation, train staff and work together with healthcare authorities to assure that patients receive high-quality medical goods and services.
Market Access Manager
Breaking into new markets, or introducing new medical supplies and technologies into the market, is especially challenging in the healthcare world. That’s where you, as an expert Market Access Manager, come into the picture. Support development teams and product managers in their efforts to bring their hard work to the public, and promote new treatments that will help patients who need them. You’ll use your strong familiarity with various sales channels, bureaucratic blockers and legal channels to expand medical products’ reach.
