Dev Kumar Parmar
Dev is an international sports lawyer and principal director at Parmars, which has bases in the UK and Spain. He was Called to the Bar by The Honorable Society of the Inner Temple and has previous experience in Criminal Defence.
Parmars provides a full-service package to client partners ranging from federations and clubs, to intermediaries/agents and athletes themselves. Dev supervises all work both in contentious and non-contentious matters, appearing as Counsel in oral hearings at national and international levels.
Dev has been praised for his meticulous preparation and robust argument. Senior Counsel has noted his quality drafting ability as well as his creative yet unique approach to preparing cases. His work ethic has been roundly praised by numerous peers and leaders alike, with his strong-willed belief in passing practical knowledge to students at the earliest stages has impressed many across the globe. Dev remains a mentor to dozens of students and young professionals across the UK and abroad, working closely with several colleges and universities in this respect.
Dev has been invited to speak in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and South America. Within the UK he has appeared as a visiting lecturer and a seminar leader at various institutions including both Cambridge and Oxford Universities and London School of Economics. In addition, he has been called to speak at the Youth Justice Board of England and Wales and has worked with several London boroughs and community groups on providing various courses surrounding the legal profession.
In 2012 Dev was nominated for both the London Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games ‘Inspiring Person in the Community’ Award and as a Barclays ‘Future Black Leader’ for the Top 100 of 2013.
