The BSc (Hons) Sustainable Maritime Operations, awarded by the University of Plymouth, is particularly suited to those with professional experience in the maritime world or an academic interest in the subject.

Delivered by part-time distance-learning, the programme is designed to fit in around working professionals careers and home commitments.

Aimed at those who wish to gain a full bachelors degree, possibly upgrading from prior academic achievement (for example, a Foundation degree).

Module topics include maritime industry in the 21st century; metocean processes and impacts; maritime regulation and governance and maritime operations.

Students can also study an optional research project module in order to achieve an Honours degree.

Three in-takes per year; January. May and September.

The MLA College Sustainable Maritime Operations (SMO) programme will enhance your management skills in analysis, evaluation, presentation and writing at a higher level. When this is combined with an understanding gained in the operation, governance and technology of the maritime world, you will be fully equipped to progress to a more advanced career level.

An equivalent to year two of a British degree in a relevant subject or Portfolio accreditation of Accredited Prior Learning (APL) and relevant work experience.
