Introduction
The Doctor of Business Administration is a professional doctorate awarded on the basis of advanced study, examinations, project work, and research in business administration.
Along with the academic Ph.D., it represents the highest professional qualification in business administration and besides business and entrepreneurship is also useful to gain employment as a full-time, tenure-track university professor or postdoctoral researcher in the field.
DBA candidates submit a project proposal for a dissertation, consisting of a body of original academic research that is in principle worthy of publication in a peer-reviewed journal. To finish the studies, the candidates must defend this work before a panel of expert examiners.

Accreditation
“European Institute of Applied Science and Management is accredited by Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC). The Institution has earned Premier status with ASIC for its commendable areas of operation. ASIC accreditation helps students and parents make a more informed choice and will also help a school, college, university, training provider, or distance education provider, demonstrate to the international student body that they are a high-quality institution.
ASIC is recognized by UKVI in the UK, is a member of the CHEA International Quality Group (CIQG) in the USA and is listed in their International Directory, is a member of the BQF (British Quality Foundation), and is an institutional member of EDEN (European Distance and E-Learning Network).”
We have also become a member of QISAN (Quality International Study Abroad Network). Currently, we offer new bachelor, master, and doctoral programs.
Admissions
Curriculum
A candidate for the degree of DBA must have pursued at the EIASM an online or part-time course of study comprising a taught component and a dissertation thesis. Completion of the DBA program commonly takes three years of study. This period can be extended up to 5 years in total. DBA program can be finished earlier if the student manages to complete all requirements (complete the courses and write the dissertation). It includes frequent contact with the supervisor.
Taught Component
The taught component requires the completion of 180 credits, completed during the whole course. We require the satisfactory completion of the following courses as part of a training program in research methods and skills.
Candidates who fail to satisfy the Examiners in any of the above courses or deliver courses or required documentation may be re-examined on such terms as the Senate, on the recommendation of the EIASM may decide.
- Research Methodology and Realist and Interpretive Qualitative Research
- Survey-Based and Statistical Research
- Developments in Management Research
- Current Issues in Management Research
- Development and Presentation of a project in the field of chosen area/specialization
- Doctoral Thesis (defense of Capstone Project)
- Vocational Training
The Capstone Project
Candidates are required to submit a capstone project on an approved topic. The thesis should offer an original application of knowledge in the area of management and should demonstrate the candidate’s ability to integrate rigorous academic analysis with practical real-world relevance and application.
The subject chosen should be viewed in light of future career plans. Students have been offered positions as a direct result of their DBA Capstone project. The Capstone Project can take many forms, including a research-based thesis (a dissertation ranging between min. 20,000 to 40,000 words), business plan, case study, or report (or indeed a combination of elements of these).
A very popular option amongst students is to work with an organization on a project that will add value to its business. The output is a substantial report combining the student’s experience and DBA knowledge to provide research, analysis, and recommendations. The Student Projects Manager works with students to facilitate engagement.

Scholarships and Funding
Partially funded scholarships are available from the European Institute of Applied Science and Management to the very best applicants who display academic, professional, and/or motivational excellence. Because the European Institute of Applied Science and Management is a private research institute rather than a public university, we do not have access to financing that would allow us to offer full scholarships to even the most deserving individuals. While the European Institute of Applied Science and Management does not provide full scholarships, it does provide partial scholarships.
