Introduction
Description of the workshop
This workshop will provide us with the fundamental keys to understanding poetry and poetic writing. We will base ourselves on the reading and analysis of contemporary reference poets to, at the same time, discover our own voice, its rhythm, its structure, its way of doing and saying itself.
For this purpose, during the course, it will be proposed to carry out practices on the poem from the first day: how to deal with the blank page, how to find the appropriate mold for the expression of what is felt, how to let the text rest and then rewrite it and how to finally we can carry out that intense work of language that is the poem. The learning will be completed with the writing of your own texts so that during the process, and from an appropriate theoretical framework, you can find your own voice.
Functioning
The courses are taught in our virtual Campus and can be followed from anywhere and at any time. Each unit, the teacher comments on all the texts in a written report, in which, in addition to making a personalized comment to each student, he makes a global comment, focused on the theme of the unit and complemented by what was discussed in the group throughout the unit. unit.
They always begin on Wednesday, the day on which the presentation debates between the teacher and the students begin. That first day, a PDF is also delivered with the theoretical work material and a practical writing proposal. Students will have a space of fourteen days (until the following Tuesday) to send their exercises. The teacher will collect the exercises and share them with the group, guiding the debate and reading about them. On Thursdays of the following week, you will submit your comments in the form of a final report to the group.
In this course, writing proposals will alternate every week with reading proposals with their subsequent commentary and analysis. So, twice a month, during the day and at the time that suits the majority of the students, a virtual chat will be called (in a private chat room) to comment on the lessons or review some aspects that offer doubts. .
