Curriculum
Discrete-event simulation for decision aiding in manufacturing context
What can will you learn from this short course?
Students will learn how to model a manufacturing system and assess its performance. Discrete Events Simulation (Arena software) will be used for this purpose. Once simulation models are created, students will create, evaluate and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Such KPIs will help to make value judgments on the manufacturing system.
Students will learn how to transform physical entities into digital ones using discrete events simulation. A case study will help acquire competencies in digitizing a manufacturing line and collect information and KPIs from it.
