Introduction
The CACHE Childcare and Education (VRQ) - Level 3 Award Course is a course designed for students who want to start a career in Childcare and acts as an perfect preparation for those who want to follow on to do CACHE Level 3 Certificate or Diploma qualifications.
Childcare is a competitive industry, and employers increasingly look for job applicants holding nationally recognised qualifications. This CACHE course provides successful learners with a Level 3 qualification especially designed for those looking to work with children ages 0-5 in a professional childcare setting.
The Diploma level course would enable learners to gain the knowledge and experience to allow them to work with children from birth to 5 years in non-supervised capacity. It should be stressed, however, that the Award itself is a valuable standalone qualification in its own right, and will be especially useful to those looking to boost their CV with a view to working with children in a supervised capacity. It would also be suitable for those already working in childcare as a piece of CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
The course covers the following units:
- Unit One: Child Development from conception to seven years
- Unit Two: Children's Health and Wellbeing
On successful completion of this course, students will receive an accredited Level 3 QCF Award Qualification with 15 UCAS Points.
Prerequisites
There is no previous learning knowledge or experience required to take this course.
Course Duration & Support
Students may register at any time and have a full year to complete their studies. You also have access to a personal tutor by mail or email for a 12 month period. As the course is self-study you can complete in as little or as long a time as you prefer.
Assessment
The course contains a number of Tutor Marked Assignments (TMAs) which your tutor will mark and give you valuable feedback on. The course also contains some self-assessment exercises which are designed to gauge your progress but are not part of the assessment procedures.
