Introduction
Taught entirely online, this programme will advance your understanding of how state, nation, citizenship and political culture are influenced by today’s contradicting developments in terms of globalisation, transnational integration and national fragmentation processes.
The first semester consists of four 7.5 credit courses, all of which have themes relating to the concepts of state, nation, citizenship, democracy and political culture. The historical developments surrounding these concepts, including current challenges, form a common theme in these four courses. The second semester consists of a 15 credit course in methods within social science, with a specific focus on political science, which is followed by a 15 credit master’s degree thesis in Political Science.
