Introduction

The Carriage of Dangerous Goods by road has inherent risks and dangers. By attending recognized training, drivers can reduce the hazards to themselves and other road users by following industry guidelines and health and safety legislation. The purpose of the “Tank” module is to ensure that dangerous goods (including clinical and other dangerous waste) being carried by road can freely cross international borders, as long as goods, vehicles, and drivers comply with its provisions. Transporting dangerous goods in the following vehicles will require the driver to hold a valid ADR Vocational Training Certificate:  A road tanker with a capacity greater than 1000 litres. A tank container with a capacity greater than 3000 litres. A vehicle having a permissible maximum weight exceeding 3.5 tons. Thus, this edition of the training is essential for all those involved in road tanker fleet operations, maintenance and repair workshops, and those with responsibility for training road tanker technicians, but mainly for tank drivers. It has also been developed to provide companies that undertake the maintenance of petroleum road tankers with a syllabus for training technicians and to satisfy road tanker operators that those responsible for the maintenance of road tanker service equipment understand the safety implications of the equipment. This course, which is ideal for those who want to apprehend their operational skills and expertise on a professional level with global aspects in road haulage, has been designed not only for the drivers and those who are concerned with the carriage of dangerous goods by road and thus to create awareness and managerial background for the potential risks and hazards of dangerous cargo. The course herein is provided for the convenience of persons involved in transporting dangerous goods by road, capsule, particularly safety advisers, consignors, carriers, drivers, and consignees. We focused and selected our partners to cover the full supply chain cycle, even focusing on having some other partners specializing in some specific activities under the supply chain such as freight transport and warehousing.
