The goals of an environmental studies program include finding ways to increase energy efficiency, minimize pollution, increase environmental awareness and encourage alternative energy use. The main focus for students is to learn how to assess and solve environmental problems.

India has four types of universities; Central Universities, State Universities, Deemed University and Private Universities consisting in over 550+ institutions.

Summer courses allow students to take classes and earn academic credit hours during the summertime, when most students are on break. Many schools offer seasonal courses to help students move through their educational programs faster and to gain important skills and knowledge.
