This postgraduate qualification combines the essential skills that a senior hydrographic professional should poses, such as critical thinking and analysis, alongside communication, and management & leadership, with an academic examination of the key disciplines within hydrography. This qualification is perfect for marine professionals wanting to expand their knowledge base and to study hydrography and its allied disciplines to the highest academic level, whilst also developing advanced hydrographic survey and oceanographic practical skills without having to study full time.
The PgDip course only has 6 modules so will take about 3 years to complete when studied part-time. You may be required to enrol in one or two bridging modules at the start of the programme, depending on your academic and professional qualifications.
Normally a Bachelor’s degree (e.g. BSc), however other prior learning and particularly significant professional experience can be considered by the Admissions Tutor.
