You have the opportunity to study for your MBA on a part-time basis at our inspirational university campus in Malaysia’s modern city of Putrajaya, and join our growing network of EBS graduates and business professionals. You will be taught by experienced and much respected British and local based faculty, have access to exceptional facilities and graduate with a prestigious degree from a British University which is fully accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
To complete your MBA programme, you must pass nine courses in total; seven core courses and two electives of your choice. The core courses are:
The programme will take two years to complete. You will benefit from 48 hours of tutored interaction for each core course and a large amount of your time will be spent studying independently (approximately 200 hours per course).You will attend two 2-day seminars (on a Saturday and Sunday) for every one of the seven core courses listed above. These seminars will involve simulations, case studies and class discussions, and allow for a dynamic combination of students with diverse experiences, backgrounds and cultures to share and exchange knowledge in a rich learning environment.
Admission to our part-time MBA is by application and acceptance, with intake periods in September and January of each year*. You are normally expected to have: - A recognised first- or second-class honours degree or a qualification deemed to be equivalent, or passes in three of the MBA courses (one of which must be core).
- A minimum of two years' post-qualifying full-time work experience of a relevant nature
- The on-campus programme is taught in English so you must provide evidence of competence in the English language with Academic IELTS: 6.5 (achieved within two years of your application date, and with no score lower than 6.0 in each section) or other HWU recognised qualification. Other tests considered to be equivalent will be considered, with the exception of TOEFL/TOEIC.
*We recommend that you submit your application at least two months before the start date. This will allow time for processing, visa applications and pre-attendance study. While we try our best to accommodate all prospective students, we can't guarantee that any applications received less than two months before the start date will be processed in time.
All courses are assessed by exam. All courses are assessed in our major exam sessions (diets) in June and December each year. Minor exam sessions are held in March and August. For each of your exams, you will attend a two-day revision session (Saturday and Sunday) to prepare you. Contact us for more details.
We may be able to award you an exemption if you hold a previous qualification in a relevant subject. Please note that these exemptions are only ever awarded at our discretion. More information can be found on our website.
