Why become an Environmental Manager?
Many organisations throughout the UK now understand the need to reduce their carbon footprint. Reducing costs and at the same time eliminating potential damage to the environment has become a priority. Successfully tendering for contracts requires effective Environmental management systems.
The impact of environmental management has far-reaching implications for organisations not just financially, but morally and legally also. Environmental legislation, particularly from EU directives, is legally enforceable opening organisations to criminal prosecution. The Environment Protection Agency is a very active enforcement office and the opportunities for careers within environmental management is ever growing. This Diploma will facilitate individuals charged with environmental management responsibilities to discharge their duties successfully.

Why Chose CMI?
CMI delivers this course over one year part-time to provide an incremental approach to learning so that you are well prepared to successfully pass the ED 1 exam. In a recent survey at CMI, 95% of our students passed the ED 2 Project first time. We believe that students benefit greatly from this approach.
- CMI deliberately avoids the ‘boot camp approach’ where other providers offer the course over a very short time of a few weeks and days. Too much is covered in a short time leading to poor retention, poor results and lack of understanding of course material by course participants.
