Program Description


This highly interactive, six-week course teaches you the practical skills, academic frameworks and theoretical insight to increase your negotiating capability, confidence and success. Guided by expert LSE academics and industry leaders, you’ll build your negotiation skills through practical real-world exercises and live online negotiations.

On completion of this online certificate course, you’ll walk away with:

Course structure

The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is collaborating with GetSmarter, a brand of 2U, Inc., to create a new class of learning experience – one that is engaging, collaborative, and accessible. Take advantage of the part-time learning model (7-10 hours per week) and the support of a Success Manager, as you earn an LSE certificate of competence.

Through a diverse collection of learning resources, you’ll be able to recognise and respond to different negotiation styles, strategies and techniques. You’ll get the opportunity to develop strong, practical negotiation skills during real-world negotiation exercises.
