Communications@Syracuse is an online Master of Science in Communications from the world-renowned S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Newhouse is a leader in the field of mass communications and strives to train professionals who use media to make the world a better place. Newhouse is consistently top-ranked among schools of communications in the nation. With a strong focus on digital innovations affecting the field, Communications@Syracuse offers students a foundation in communications, digital media, social media and digital journalism. Students choose from three specializations — Advertising, Public Relations and Journalism Innovation — and complete coursework that explores the established practices and emerging trends of their area of focus. The M.S. in Communications features:

As with any Newhouse program, students learn from faculty who are leaders in the fields of communications and media. Upon enrolling in the program, students join the Newhouse alumni network, a global community that includes some of the most respected innovators in the industry. Communications@Syracuse is a 33-credit program. Students complete core courses and focused specialization courses. Students also attend two immersion experiences during the course of their studies. Immersions are held in cities around the world and offer students the chance to meet with faculty and classmates in person for three days of lectures, workshops, and networking events. To be eligible for Communications@Syracuse, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution with a cumulative GPA of B (3.0) or higher. GRE and GMAT scores are not required for admission to Communications@Syracuse, but applicants may submit official scores if they feel it will benefit their application.
