MPA Program Overview
The University of Texas Permian Basin's online Master of Public Administration program is designed to help students enter into or advance their current careers in the public and nonprofit sectors. This program is:

UT Permian Basin's online Master of Public Administration program teaches students how to address organizational issues and policy questions in a practical, competent, ethical, legal, and politically savvy manner, with the overarching goal of supporting the public interest. Graduates of our program go on to apply their expertise in a wide range of fields including healthcare, public safety, economic development, human services, criminal justice, parks and recreation, fine arts, and transportation.

Financial Aid
Students in our online Master of Public Administration program may be eligible for financial aid. To see if you are eligible for a federal student loan, fill out your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using UT Permian Basin’s school code: 009930 (see studentaid.gov to apply). The priority deadlines for FAFSA are July 15th for fall and November 15th for spring.
Admission Policy and Requirements
In order to prevent delays in processing applications due to COVID-19, requirements for graduate entrance exams (GRE, GMAT) are temporarily waived for graduate applicants. While GRE scores are not required at this time, we recognize the value of standardized tests as a piece of the review process and will consider scores alongside the other required application credentials if provided.
In addition, unofficial transcripts will be accepted with application submission through Fall 2021.
Admission Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum GPA of 3.0 in the last 60 credits of undergraduate work
One of the following:
Equivalent of three or more years of full-time professional work experience, or
GRE scores of 295 (verbal and quantitative combined) (note: the GRE requirement has been temporarily waived, but scores will be considered if submitted)
Three letters of recommendation
