The aim of this distance learning Master in European Law and Policies, run by the Law Faculty, is to train an interdisciplinary professional profile of an expert in European law and policies providing him operational and professional skills enabling him to participate in the various stages of the drafting and implementation of the European policies. The educational and training tools necessary to achieve this objective will be provided in a multi-disciplinary perspective.
This multi-disciplinary educational approach is strictly coherent with the aim of supplying students with skills suited to the trans-national dimension of these issues.
Wherever the student is, from Rome to Milan, from Bologna to Naples and even from abroad, the distance mobility envisaged by this Master’s Course will allow everybody to take part in it; they will only need an Internet connection.
The Master lasts one academic year corresponding to a total amount of 60 credits ECTS organized in video lessons, seminars, exercises, videoconferences, tutoring, and research activities. The courses are delivered by video professors who are assisted by qualified tutors who will support online, in the Didactic Cyberspace, the students along their entire training path. Each course ends with a final evaluation test whose results contribute to establishing the admission grade to discuss the course-end thesis. The final thesis will deal with a subject previously agreed upon with the professor of the chosen subject.

Enrolments in the Master’s Course in European Law and Policies are open all year round.
All Course of the Master in European Law and Policies by International Telematic University Uninettuno are organized in modules, which have variable duration according to ECTS acknowledged to each specific course. Course delivery is planned three times in an Academic Year.
Two specific professional figures will support you in your learning activities:
The Mentor, which is responsible for your welcome and will offer his support during the entire Master’s course, listening to your needs and ensuring the best conditions for a successful learning process;
The Teacher/Tutor, specific for each course, which has the task of facilitating your distance learning path, giving you the tools to be successful in studying a given subject.
During the course delivery cycle, the Teacher/Tutor will assist you in carrying out your training activities, proposing you especially-designed training materials, checking your learning progress asking control questions and through exercises and planning training interactive sessions through chats and forum that you will in the Tutor’s Page in the Didactic Cyberspace.
For each course delivery cycle, the students will be able to select the courses they intend to follow, up to a maximum of three courses for each course delivery cycle. Since the start, the student can access all the didactic materials autonomously, for all the courses of the Master. In addition, in the course delivery cycle, students will be supported by a Teacher/Tutor, who will guide him in the study activities, who will plan the educational activities of the class, organize tutoring sessions through synchronous chats sessions, and virtual classrooms and asynchronous one in the forums.
Students are advised to begin the path from the first three modules and then continue with the next ones in order to join other participants and form a group.
Ongoing and final evaluation
During the delivery of the course module, the Tutor performs qualitative and quantitative assessments of learning in order to constantly monitor the results of the learning process and provide personalized support to students in view of the assessment to be made at the end of the module.
The quantitative evaluation of the participation of the students is carried out by the tutor based on the statistics relating to the navigation of the student in the Cyberspace Area, in terms of the number of accesses and time of use of the Learning Environments and Online Tutoring tools, the number of exercises carried out an average evaluation / self-evaluation results.
To complement this monitoring activity, the Tutor checks the students' learning performances during Virtual Classroom sessions, through questions and exercises related to the issues treated in video lessons included in the module and through discussions on the course forum. At the end of the course delivery cycle for each course, the Teacher/Tutor organizes final evaluation sessions through interviews in the Virtual Classroom and/or control exercises. The qualitative and quantitative assessment provides Professors and Tutors feedback about students' learning activities, and forms the basis for the admission to the final examination of the Master.
The final exam consists of the preparation of a short dissertation on a topic related to the subjects treated during the Master’s Course lesson delivery.
In order to earn the Master's certificate, students must have obtained the credits envisaged by the course regulations, included the credits corresponding to the final exam.
Upon completion of the Master's advanced education activities, the most deserving students will access training periods in European and International institutions.

The psycho-pedagogic model, which is adopted also in the Master’s Course in “European Law and Policies” concretizes the shift:

The Internet-based training activities take place in a web-based macro-area which is called the Didactic Cyberspace. In the Didactic Cyberspace, the training and learning process takes place and accesses are diversified through customized login and passwords based on the role of the players of the educational path: professors, tutors, and students. These three categories of users can access the same information regarding each subject. More specifically, the Professor and Tutor can modify or replace training materials and add new ones for the whole course duration, whereas the student can dispose of an area of his own where he can include data, information, and personal notes.

Training Materials which represent the course contents: digitized video lessons including bookmarks allowing for hypertextual and multimedia linking to books, selected bibliographical references, texts of the exercises, lists of selected websites. The system of dynamic bookmarks gives the Internet-based video lessons a hypertextual character allowing different levels of navigation: from one lesson to the other one, among subjects of a single lesson, between the materials referring to the same subject.
Distance Tutoring. The students enrolled in the Master’s course in Energy Management will be assisted in every step of their study path by Telematic Professors-Tutors. The Telematic Professor-Tutor represents a guide as well as a constant presence along with the Learning Process.
In a synchronic manner, by using chats, video chats, video, and audio-conferencing, implemented in the Didactic Cyberspace, but also the three-dimensional classroom created on the Uninettuno Island of knowledge on Second Life.
In a diachronic manner, through tools such as e-mail and discussion forums on the Internet. The discussion forums, related to the topics of a given teaching subject, enable to enlarge dialogue and trigger collaborative learning, and give the opportunity for autonomous thinking on the issue being discussed and on the study activities carried on.
Virtual Classroom in Uninettuno Island of Knowledge on Second Life. On Uninettuno (International Telematic University) Island of Knowledge, a 3D lecture hall was realized and it is devoted to this master’s course. In this environment, the students and professors/tutors’ avatars interact in the three-dimensional world of Uninettuno by their voice. Practice work, assessment tests, and videoconferences with the protagonists of the Master’s Course, who will be attending through their avatars, are carried out, as well as real-time practice activities guided by the professors/tutors’ avatars.
In the virtual classroom of Second Life in the Uninettuno Island of Knowledge, the students and the professors/tutors teach and learn in a collaborative and cooperative way; they build and share knowledge with people belonging to different political, cultural, and religious settings, the dialogue, cultural differences are confronted, socialization processes are implemented as well as the creation of new knowledge.

You can enroll directly on the Internet site through the Administrative Secretariat filling in the specific online form and paying the relative fees by credit card or bank transfer. The online administrative form manages all administrative activities related to the student’s career. The Secretariat will acknowledge enrolment by sending an e-mail including matriculation number, User ID, and Password.
