The Master in Web Design and Multi-device Programming covers all the necessary aspects for the student to acquire the skills and knowledge that allow him / her to undertake, direct, design and implement projects, services and applications for the Internet.
Throughout the course, the student will be able to better understand and attend to the needs, technology and real possibilities of each client or project to give an effective response to their objectives, in addition to being able to offer the graphic creative contributions they make. make it a unique and innovative piece.
In this context, the keys to digital design will be as important as the development of skills and guidelines for monitoring a project, from capturing customer needs to presenting the final product.
With this training, the student will have a detailed view of the entire process of creating an interactive project where business vision, user experience (UX), technology and interface design take center stage.
The main objectives of this program are:
- Understanding of new ways of seeing the present and the future in an online environment. Acquire skills and knowledge of new concepts (interface design, usability, interaction or positioning) and adapt others that are already known about graphic design to this environment.
- Be able to direct, design and implement an Internet project in an autonomous way or be able to participate in a specialized team with the defined roles of each of the participants.
- Acquire a work process assimilating each phase of the project: briefing, concept creation, strategic definition / objectives based on customer needs, development of the graphical interface, production of prototypes, front-end programming.
- Learn to synthesize the site architecture, usability and strategy of a multimedia project by designing its graphical interface and working with wireframes.
- Understand the importance of user experience (User Experience) as a discipline that gives meaning to the joint work of technology, design and interaction.
- Learn the communication protocols and technologies of multi-device and internet projects, to better understand what requirements each of them needs, applying all that on different supports (web and webApp) in a multiplatform environment (screen, tablet and smartphone).
- Acquire the ability to define the client's web strategy, plan the project to work on, position the website both organically and by payment (SEO and SEM).
- Promote entrepreneurial character, consolidate company knowledge to manage projects at the level of budgets, organizational charts, supplier management and planning.
- Being able to share with professionals the day to day of a professional study, see how they face projects and the best way to solve the problems that appear in the development of a multi-device product.

The Master in Web Design and Multi-device Programming is structured from the following thematic areas that are integrated into a transversal project that is developed over 10 subjects:
Strategy in the digital environment and project management
In this module the student faces the understanding of new ways of seeing the present and the future in an online environment. To do this you must assimilate new concepts (interface design, usability, interaction or positioning) and adapt others you already know about graphic design to this environment.
Learn methods and processes for the development of an appropriate product strategy, the definition of objectives and success metrics, analyzing the current reality of the business in the medium, as well as the planning and development of strategies.
User experience (UX)
The student must master the key concepts that guarantee a rich user experience. It delves into factors such as interaction design, information architecture, accessibility, navigation flows, usability. Work will be done above all on tasks applied to the development of concrete results (for example wireframes or prototypes) that advance the development of the product and the validation of these results.
Graphic interface design
The objective of this module is to synthesize the architecture, usability and strategy of a multimedia project by designing its graphic interface. It focuses on fundamental aspects of interactive visual communication and introduces the student to the inclusion of interaction and navigation elements in multiple supports (for example, web interfaces for mobile and desktop). We will work from the conceptualization of visuals through sketching to the making of mockups and the definition of a design patterns library.
The objective of this module is to learn the communication protocols of web projects as well as delve into HTML5, CSS3, jQuery ...
This module aims to gain awareness and experience in the design of responsive web projects: How do they adapt to different devices? How and what content are displayed in each one? For this, all the new options are defined, both from the possibilities they offer and their graphic requirements as well as the necessary software tools. At the end of the module, web solutions with multiplatform output will be designed, developed and implemented (at the mock up level). Special attention will be devoted to code issues (bootstrap) that affect development for multiple devices (responsive).
Prototyping and Final Arts
The presentation of proposals is one of the crucial points of the project, the objective of the module is to expand resources and provide tools to present proposals to clients, improve the storyline, quality and more realistic finishes (InvisionApp and Marvel).
On the other hand, it is essential to be able to contextualize the various processes in a digital project and the various agents involved. We will give special attention to the passage of originals between the design and programming teams, to make a fluid passage between designers and programmers, minimize errors and save time (Zeplin).
Management of a CMS
There will be a series of tools for content management (CMS), each one specialized in a specific purpose (social, commercial, communicational). The use of Wordpress will be deepened, dealing in detail with the installation, configuration and extension using modules and plugins. Finally, the student will know the dynamics of development in client / server environments and will understand the topics related to domains, hostings, etc.
Design in new digital environments and mobile devices
WebApp, native application and hybrid application, adaptive design. In this block we will learn and put into practice all aspects of creating projects for new digital environments: from the conceptualization, functional definition and design of wireframes, to the visual design and prototyping of Apps and WebApps and see the adaptive design.
We will delve into graphic and usability decisions in a special way and we will discover new professional tools (Sketch), new work processes and methods that will ensure that our digital projects have the quality and finishes necessary to obtain the journey and success in the market .
Digital Analytics: metrics to optimize a website
One of the great advantages of digital environments is the possibility of measuring any interaction that users make. This allows us to obtain valuable information about its type and behavior to optimize site performance and make the best business decisions.
The objective of the module is to understand the work methodology when designing a measurement system, learn to implement and configure the basic functionalities and obtain the necessary KPIs.
Project and company management
We will detail the production phases of a digital project, from contact with the client to the launch of the product.
We will identify the different roles and tools that are used in the management of a digital project.
We will give a vision of the implications and requirements of the management of a digital project, so that the student can be aware of them and take into account all the factors to successfully carry out the project.
Final work of master
In addition to overcoming the credits of the various modules, all students must develop a Final Master's Project, consisting of a personal research project based on the content taught during the program. Although most of the TFM is carried out individually, group and personal tutorials will be established at the beginning, to choose and plan the object of study, and during its development, to maintain the objectives and achieve the desired results.
Workshop and Learning Units
