After completing your Master's degree in Cyber Security, you will be a highly sought-after expert who is optimally qualified for efficient response to cyber incidents as well as forensic methods of identification and defence.
You will have the necessary hard and soft skills required to take responsibility for central security architectures as well as for confidently advising companies and teams on how to optimise cybersecurity. As an expert in your field, you will have excellent opportunities to lead your employer's security measures as a future manager. You could also be responsible for the digital transformation of teams and companies, based on "security by design" and work with external agencies to detect and deter criminal activities.
IT Security Architect
As an IT security architect, you are responsible for the overall IT security of the technical architectures in your company. You establish the necessary processes and procedures for handling data protection and information security. In addition, you support the IT department in the conception and implementation of security by design.
Security Manager
Security managers ensure that digital systems in IT are protected against the growing number of threats. They identify gaps in the IT infrastructure of companies or develop preventive measures to protect IT systems from attacks. In doing so, they take adequate and effective measures that minimise potential damage in the event of an attack.
Cyber Forensics Analyst
As a cyber forensics analyst, you secure evidence that reveals the manipulations of data or software. You deal with computer crime, economic and industrial espionage as well as software piracy. For this purpose, you prepare IT forensic reports that can be used by public prosecutors, for example.

A cybersecurity expert masters the basics of modern operating systems and is also familiar with distributed applications in the cloud as well as methods of software forensics and data analysis. In our practice-oriented distance learning programme for cybersecurity, you will be trained to detect cyber threats and demonstrate leadership potential.
