Business studies is an academic area of study that provides the knowledge and skills needed for a career in the business realm. Studies may consist of finance, accounting, economics, organizational studies, business ethics, and marketing.

Uganda hosts the oldest university in the East and Central Africa, which is Makerere University. This university has been the center of academic excellence for several decades for not only Ugandans students but also other students in the region. Uganda has over 30 public universities.

A Master of Business Administration is a degree program that may help students to improve and diversify their skill set. Many schools offer MBA programs either online or part-time, so that students who are busy with careers and families can further their education in a convenient manner.

Part time learning allows one to obtain part-time degrees even if one cannot attend school on a full-time basis. One can learn at his or own pace, gradually accumulating credits which count towards final qualification.
