The two-year Executive Master Degree program in International Business reflects a generalist education with a strong international focus that promotes and improves students’ professional and social competencies.
The content is divided into ten modules teaching topics such as organizational behavior, marketing management, management accounting, entrepreneurship, and business formation. Students learn how to systematically identify and analyze entrepreneurial problems, provide suitable solutions, and make, as well as implement, respective decisions.
In addition to providing relevant expert knowledge, the program focuses on teaching leadership skills and developing, as well as promoting, students’ social skills. In principle, the program accepts individuals with
- an academic degree at the Bachelor’s level at least and
- a minimum of three years’ relevant professional experience.
Additionally, applicants are required to provide proof of sufficient knowledge of the English language. Relevant evidence must not be older than three years and may include certificates issued for the completion of any one of the following examinations:
- TOEFL (minimum score of 92)
- IELTS (minimum score of 6.5)

The application must be submitted in the form of a standardized application form accompanied by the required documents (CV, essay, an undergraduate degree from a recognized university). Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a qualified position prior to the commencement of the program (ideally, a qualified professional activity also during the MBA program).
Applicants are asked to submit an essay detailing their motivations for enrolling in this program (> 1000 words).
Proof of adequate command of English
For candidates, whose first language is not English: TOEFL test certificate or equivalent (cf. European Reference Framework for
Languages: Proficient User) is required. Scores are valid for three years from the date of the test.
- A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) can be taken at any international TOEFL center. A minimum score of 92 points is required in an Internet-based test.
- IELTS (Academic) – International English Language Testing System. A minimum score of 6.5.
The interview gives applicants the opportunity to present themselves personally, to narrate their career history, to explain their motivation for this program as well as describe their medium-term professional goals. A Skype-based interview is also possible.
An admission committee decides on the applicant's admission to the Master program.
