Introduction
"I am interested in the future because it is the place where I am going to spend the rest of my life." This phrase by Woody Allen directly challenges us all and if there is something that the experts unanimously affirm that will determine that future, it is, without a doubt, technology; technology that marks our lives and also, increasingly at a faster pace, transforms our administrations and governments.
From that important certainty, we built this innovative International Master in Government and Technology with the clear conviction of bringing together two capital areas of human development that have traditionally looked in different directions: Politics and Technology. In the 21st century, both can no longer be remote and stagnant disciplines, but technology reveals itself to us, and this will be clearly proven in this postgraduate course in numerous real examples, such as the response that politics and public administration require to many complex challenges that Our societies face day after day, in the same way that the challenges posed by many of the new technologies (cloning, robotization, cryptocurrencies ...) require that politics and the government help them to channel themselves in the ways of the common good.
Throughout this postgraduate course we propose to learn directly from the experience and knowledge of prominent technologists, scientists, communicators, politicians, managers and professors to learn how to use new technologies to help solve complex government and administration challenges. In this way, you will also have a very notable competitive advantage over other well-trained professionals in your area who do not take advantage of this new technological potential that is coming to transform the world at increasing speed and to offer innovative solutions to novel questions.
Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Smart Cities or E-government are just some of the fields in which you can deepen with the help of experts of very different nationalities and with different professional experiences and you will do it at the same time together with others. students with very diverse profiles that will configure a great potential learning environment. All this, in addition, using advanced pedagogical methodologies such as gamification, experiential learning or the study of real practical cases in which technology has solved specific problems of citizens, cases that in many cases could be very similar to difficulties that you face or face in your work.
Therefore, if you are interested in the future and want to train to help improve the world from public administration and government through technology, this Master is for you.
