The challenges of the XXI century, forces us to rethink traditional leadership models to take into account the new challenges of the knowledge society, the industrial revolution 4.0 and the multigenerational reality.
In short, today it is not enough to look for new answers, but it is necessary to identify new questions.
Today, most of the distinctive competencies and capabilities of organizations reside in their talents, their human capital; ultimately, its people. Those organizations that take this into account in their strategic approaches will be better placed to face the challenges of the future.
Numerous investigations reinforce this assertion and identify leadership as one of the main assets of society.
In this context, leadership presents an extraordinary evolution. However, few have been the initiatives developed to identify the elements that make up the construct of this new leadership, as well as the tools that may be useful to measure it and the proven interventions that are effective in order to develop it.
There is a clear need to rethink the approach of traditional leadership models and we present a proposal to contribute to the reinvention of the concept of leadership orienting it to human flourishing, a proposal based on positive psychology applied to the productivity of organizations.
