Program Description

Hone your educational knowledge

USQ’s Doctor of Education will see your design, conduct and report research that creates and extends knowledge and understanding of global, real-world education questions and topics. The Doctor of Education is both theoretically and conceptually stimulating, giving experienced practitioners the opportunity to complete a research degree focusing on areas of special interest and expertise. The degree is offered online or on-campus and provides ample opportunity for one-on-one interactions with doctoral supervisors and fellow students in vibrant online communities or face to face interactions.

Entry Requirements

  • Possess a Masters degree with a GPA equivalent to at least 5.0 on the USQ grade scale, or a Bachelor degree with Honours (First Class or Second Class (2a)), or equivalent qualification in Education or a cognate field from a recognized university, and
  • Have a documented record of normally three years full-time equivalent of teaching or other professional experience in Education or a cognate field and current or recent employment in relevant professional practice.
  • Admission to all graduate programs is highly competitive owing to limited capacities. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.

English Language Requirements All students are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements. This program requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.
