Introduction
This flexible diploma offers a broad introduction to computing & IT before focusing on computer science, communications and networking, software development or web development. You’ll combine this with a second subject, choosing from business, design, mathematics, psychology or statistics – your choice of the second subject will be included in the name of your diploma, for example, Diploma of Higher Education in Computing & IT and Business.

A nationally recognised qualification in its own right, this diploma of higher education is also equivalent to the first two-thirds of the BSc (Honours) Computing & IT and a second subject (Q67).

- using and/or producing diagrams and/or screenshots
- undertaking practical work
- finding external/third party material online
- using specialist software (for example the Design/Engineering Studio).

Course details
This diploma of higher education has two stages, each comprising 120 credits.
- You’ll start Stage 1 with two 30-credit computing & IT modules and 60 credits of study in your chosen second subject.
- In Stage 2, you’ll study 60 credits in a specific area of computing & IT and another 60 credits in your second subject.
