Maritime Shipping Sales Pilot Certificate Courses

These courses will cover shipping and sales to prepare a sales executive in this industry.

Complete all 8 Pilot Certificates and you may write your Maritime Shipping Sales Diploma.

You may either complete your Diploma as a single course (at a lower cost) or complete the Pilot Certificate courses individually to accumulate all your credits to attain your Diploma over a longer period. If you intend to obtain your Diploma we recommend you attempt the Pilot Certificate courses in the order they are listed below.

Course Requirements

• English language, all courses are written in English as this is the primary language of global business.
• Computer, internet connection, and printer (should you wish to print the course).
• A valid e-mail address.
• Time set aside to study as per the course requirements

Course structure

2 weeks part-time or 4 days full time. A soft copy of your full course module in a PDF format will be available on the e-campus for you to download. You will then be able to print a hard copy for study purposes if you choose.

• Final mark = 100%
• Pass mark = 65%

Learner support

• Personal e-Tutor - You will be nominated a personal e-Tutor, all communication with your e-Tutor will be done via email. You may contact your e-Tutor at any time regarding your course.

Maritime Shipping Sales Diploma Course

This course will cover the global shipping and sales to prepare a sales executive in this industry. This course is also suitable for sales representatives wanting to join the Shipping Industry.

Part-time studies - where you study part-time in the evenings and on weekends using our online training program.

Full-time studies - when you take time off work to study full time using our online training program.

Course Requirements

• A valid e-mail address and
• Time set aside to study as per the course requirements.

Course structure

8 Modules over 5 months part-time or 5 weeks full time.

Recommended study time set aside

We recommend 5 to 7 hours per week for each module/pilot certificate ie the part-time 2-week pilot certificate course will need 10 to 15 hours. The time will vary depending on the students' original knowledge of the course material. A soft copy of your full course module in a PDF format will be available on the e-campus for you to download. You will then be able to print a hard copy for study purposes if you choose.

Sum total of all your Pilot exams = 40% of your final mark. Two online exams with a time limit will be required to be completed for each module. Assignment = 20% of your final mark. An assignment at the end of the course is required, the assignment will be sent to you via e-mail and you need to submit this back to your Tutor for grading and feedback. Final exam = 40% of your final mark. Your final exam will be conducted online with a time limit and will encompass all your course material.

• Final mark = 100%
• Pass mark = 65%

Learner support

• Online exams - Each week you will be sent an email notifying you of the exam/s that are due to be completed by you. These exams help you in your studies and keep you on track with the course timetable. They also contribute 40% of your overall course mark,
• Past exam papers are available for download with your course notes,
• Personal Course Plan - Your e-Tutor will contact you once a week regarding your course plan and to motivate you to keep on track with your course plan,
• Personal e-Tutor - You will be nominated a personal e-Tutor, all communication with your e-Tutor will be done via email. You may contact your e-Tutor at any time regarding your course.

Passing your course

On passing your course you will :

• Be sent an original Diploma via post and
• A laminated Container Specification Table,
