Why the Bachelor of Design?
Design was never as important as it is now. It is part of our daily lives because we can find the design in every product we use, in the websites we visit or in all the applications that we install on smartphones.
The London School of Design and Marketing Design Degree will help you build a career in the creative world and can be the impetus you need to reach new goals, unleash your creative side, and create powerful projects that inspire and influence people. The Degree in Design rests on three key points:
Knowledge: a contemporary and comprehensive understanding of concepts, tools, history and design methods in general, as well as the links between the main areas of activity;
Competencies: ability to create, plan, implement and manage projects successfully using the knowledge acquired;
Attitude: develop personal characteristics such as flexibility, empathy, realism and entrepreneurship.
The LSDM Design Degree is exclusively online and is available in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Where Passion Becomes a Profession
OVERVIEW OF THE COURSE
The Degree in Design is designed for all those who wish to acquire new skills, knowledge and find new solutions in the development of new proposals for global issues in Design. The course plan was outlined from the strategic decision through a multidisciplinary attitude in the global markets.
The Bachelor of Design prepares professionals for the different areas of design by providing advanced, comprehensive, coordinated and supported higher education in the latest scientific and technological developments. The LSDM Design Degree course plan was developed and divided into 3 distinct stages:
The first stage, corresponding to the first year of the course, aims to prepare LSDM students for the various areas of design through a contemporary and comprehensive understanding of concepts, tools, history and design methods in general. It also aims to cover the links between the main areas of activity (such as communication, interaction and product design) by developing a comprehensive view of the themes associated with the design mission, its interaction with markets and its role in society.
The second stage, corresponding to the second year of the course, aims to instill solid competencies for the development and implementation of projects, articulated around the main areas of communication design, interactive design and product design. Students will be able to:
Identify and analyze: analyze the environment in which problem solving occurs, think creatively, identify the conditions and objectives associated with problem solving, and identify the resources and skills needed;
Make choices: make decisions, understand the uncertainties and associated risks, anticipate the future implications of decisions and develop the capacity for argumentation;
Integrate: processes and diversity of interests simultaneously with increased flexibility and innovation;
Implement: planning and organization, creation of appropriate environments, implementation and control, development of creative skills in the design and execution phases of the project.
The third stage, corresponding to the third year of the course, aims to consolidate the knowledge acquired in previous curricular units and to progress with self-confidence, realism and entrepreneurship. It will be at this stage that LSDM students will develop their final course project through the following competencies:
Flexibility: being able to handle a variety of design projects and adapting to changing circumstances as a multi-skilled and open-minded professional in a multidisciplinary team;
Empathy: being able to understand different points of view and to argue them;
Realism: make a valid assessment of your own capabilities and acting capabilities at any time, relying on your own competence and performance;
Entrepreneurship: ability to create, develop and sell an idea, visual work, product or service.
The faculty is composed of qualified, experienced and reputable teachers. In addition to the academic training at the doctoral level, they present consolidated professional careers, linking the academic component with the labor market.
LSDM students are followed weekly through the Tutor Center consisting of a team of tutors specializing in design with masters level training and proven multi-year experience. The Tutor Center is also available in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
