...this lively and engaging course makes the task of screenwriting that much easier for emerging writers by imparting the skills of preparation. This is the extensive ground work you do before you actually start writing.
Participants should begin this course with the germ of an idea for a genre based screenplay. This should not be an idea that has already been written as a screenplay.
By the end of this course participants will have gone through the process of developing their idea into a fully-fledged screenplay story with a traditional three act structure.
This course has a large workload. Participants will need to dedicate at least 10 hours per week to 2 × 90 minute on-line chat sessions, screenplay reading, film viewing, and written assignments. This course is taught in English and is open to international students as well as those within Australia.
