The Graphic Design and Interactive Media degree provides the practical knowledge and insight you need to develop effective, stunning graphic design and web interfaces. The BFA in Graphic Design and Interactive Media provides an exciting and in-depth look at these evolving fields. You will work with industry-standard software in order to create cutting-edge designs and pieces and can customize your degree to focus on one of three areas of emphasis.
This emphasis is focused on setting up and running marketing campaigns, creating and marketing brands, and building brand awareness and social space. You will be able to see the impact your work has as the campaigns you create gain traction. It’s an exciting and growing field with ample opportunity for a variety of career roles.
You will begin gaining hands-on experience right away, working on client projects and building your portfolio. This emphasis includes all the marketing knowledge you will need to make campaigns you design success.

The Graphic Design emphasis focuses on creating and manipulating images, text, shapes, and symbols to communicate visually in printed media, on screens of all sizes, and in product packaging. Your studies in this emphasis will lead to many career opportunities.

Columbia College Hollywood offers a unique admissions process. While academic achievement is an important component in the decision to accept an applicant, we consider students for admission based on their ability to successfully undertake both professional training and a rigorous liberal arts curriculum.
When you apply, you’ll be required to submit official transcripts indicating a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.50 on your high school transcript or a transcript from a prior college you’ve attended. You’ll also submit a 500+ word Personal Essay describing your creative and career goals and two Letters of Recommendation from teachers, educators, or individuals who know you well and are not family members. We’ll take everything into consideration, including your desire to develop as a filmmaker, graphic designer, animator, or visual effects artist, your passion for creative arts, and your ability to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills and abilities.
