Course Overview

In the Bachelor course in event management, you deal with the framework conditions of the event industry and learn to plan and successfully implement events according to customer requirements. You will discuss logistical challenges during implementation and learn how to calculate, finance, profitably market events and make them attractive for sponsors.

Our bachelor's program is modular, which means that you study using subject areas that are divided into so-called "modules". Within these modules there is an introductory course and an in-depth course, which prepare you systematically for the completion of this module. Within the modules, you will receive ECTS points (European Credit Transfer System) for each successful completion, which document your performance. These ECTS points are internationally comparable and of course recognized.

specialization

In the fifth and sixth semester, you choose your three specializations in the amount of 30 ECTS. To do this, you opt for at least one scientific specialization ("compulsory specialization") from the tourism, hospitality and event sectors and a maximum of two functional and industry specializations ("elective specializations").
Some exemplary specializations are:

  • Business controlling
  • Advanced Leadership
  • IT Management
  • Online and social media marketing
  • event management

FIBAA awards its premium seal for courses of exceptional quality. Five courses at the IUBH have already been awarded this special seal. The IUBH is one of the leading universities in Germany with five or more premium seals.

Your professional future in the event industry

The event industry is diverse and large. The professions are correspondingly varied. Starting with the conception through planning and organization to the implementation of events of all kinds - as an event manager you are responsible for the entire control and coordination and thus for the success of an event. The distance learning event management prepares you optimally for the challenges of event planning and implementation.
