Program Description

"Anything with media?" Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that! In the face of digitalization, new jobs are constantly being created that require creative, practice-oriented trained specialists and managers. Media managers have a variety of fields of activity open to them - such as in publishers, TV and radio stations, PR and advertising agencies, market and opinion research institutes, and in communication departments of clubs, organizations, start-ups or large corporations. With a view to current and future requirements, the distance learning media management conveys the basics of business administration, media knowledge and knowledge of marketing and media production. In addition, you will receive a thorough training in cross-media management and digital editorial management. The close connection to the media industry and the learning of tools and strategies from practice prepare for the challenges in the job.

The special thing about it: in each semester you realize your own projects and gradually fill your personal portfolio. A perfect basis for your applications after graduation.

Course Overview

The distance learning media management conveys you business and media basic knowledge, such as marketing and media production. Based on this, subject-specific competences are in focus, for example "cross-media management" or "digital editorial management".

Our bachelor's program is modular, which means that you study using subject areas that are divided into so-called "modules". Within these modules there is an introductory course and an in-depth course, which prepare you systematically for the completion of this module. Within the modules, you will receive ECTS points (European Credit Transfer System) for each successful completion, which document your performance. These ECTS points are internationally comparable and of course recognized.specialization

In the sixth semester you choose your two specializations in the amount of 20 ECTS. To do this, you opt for at least one specialist specialization ("compulsory specializations") from the field of media management and at most one functional and industry specialization ("elective specialization").

Accredited degree

All current courses at the IUBH are accredited by the FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation).
Accreditation is only granted if the content and structure of a study program meets all qualitative requirements.

FIBAA is a kind of TÜV for academic education that checks the quality of Bachelor and Master courses on behalf of the Accreditation Council. The accreditation is renewed every five (first accreditation) or seven (re-accreditation) years - a guarantee for the quality of our teaching.
