Purpose of the postgraduate program 'Wireless Communication Systems' Is to promote the principles governing the design and operation of cellular and other wireless broadband telecommunications systems (e.g. 2G / 3G / 4G, 802). The Program covers design principles, their architectures, their dimensioning, security issues, and examples of applications and services. The Program teaches those specialized knowledge, theories, technologies and techniques required for the design of mobile telephony systems (e.g. GSM, UMTS, LTE, etc.), and other small, medium, and large-scale wireless broadband networks.
Students will also have the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge they will acquire through the specialized modules of the Labs.
It should be noted that the modules of the laboratories do not require the physical presence of the students but they are carried out remotely as the rest of the thematic units. During these modules, students will have the opportunity to design realistic wireless systems / networks through the use of simulators to design and test wireless location localization algorithms for Location Based Services (LBS) applications, and Experiment with security applications Through their computer. Students deliver work based on laboratory exercises for which they are graduated.
As part of the Program, students will also be able to understand and apply the various research techniques and develop the specific skills they will need to complete the Master's Thesis.
