On this practical, project-based course, fully accredited by the University of Hertfordshire and delivered online by the Interactive Design Institute (IDI), you will develop both your design skills and knowledge of the contemporary graphic design industry. You will do this using a mixture of modern and traditional techniques and will be encouraged by your tutors to experiment with new methods and media. Your subject specialist tutor will offer you one-to-one guidance in your own secure online studio located within the study website, IDI-Study. IDI-Study is also where you will upload work for assessment and discuss activities with your peers.
What Does the Course Involve?
During the course of your studies, you will gain industry-relevant knowledge that will enhance your skills and prepare you for a career in the creative industries on graduation. You will receive asynchronous tuition from our subject specialist tutors and develop relevant design skills that will give you an advantage in a highly competitive job market. On the BA (Hons) Graphic Design course you will:

Studying graphic design online with IDI
When studying online with IDI, you will be required to complete a variety of online activities which will focus on developing the knowledge and skills you will need to become a professional graphic designer. Online group discussions with your peers on the forums will also take place regularly within the study website, IDI-Study, and you will be encouraged to use these to discuss your work with your peer group and with your tutors. As well as one-to-one contact with your tutors, you will also be able to contact IDI support staff from 9 to 5, Monday to Friday. We will be able to help you with any questions you have about your studies and our Technical Support team will be able to help you with any technical problems you encounter.

BA (Hons) Graphic Design Entry Requirements
UK applicants For UK applicants, we require either 96 UCAS points from GCE A Levels (or equivalent), including art-related subjects, and English Language and Mathematics at grade 4 or above (grade C and D or above if prior to 2015), or a relevant level or equivalent skills and experience. International applicants, You will normally have completed a pre-degree course in visual arts, which may be a Foundation or equivalent course leading to a BTEC National Diploma/Certificate or equivalent international qualification. English language All applicants from non-majority English speaking countries need to provide proof of English language proficiency. One of the following qualifications (or equivalent) is required:
