Grenada has a regulating authority called university grants commission of Grenade. This commission supervises 34 public universities and 60 private universities to ensure education institutions provide quality of education. They also ensure that both domestic and international students get research oriented quality education.

A student who achieves high scores on A-levels may have more options when it comes to choosing an advanced degree program. A-level exam scores are often a major factor in gaining enrollment in a respected university.
