In essence, this is one of the facets that define the design, a relatively young in their teaching discipline, but that is part of our DNA and emanating from our creative ability to find solutions for those problems that arise us. This requires a transformation process that begins in the field of the idea and eventually develop in this case tangible spaces, homes to inhabit and develop a part of life of every human being. That is why the design market housing is extremely large, we all need a place to live, and requires professionals able to develop projects that can fit like a tailored suit each user, which transmit, not only a needs basic, but a personality, a social projection. However, the design of interior spaces is more complex than at first may seem, consisting of a sum of several procedures to follow in order to successfully meet the project task. From the first ideas to the delivery of a work spend several months in which you have to follow a methodology of work scheduled, rigid contrasts with the creativity of the idea, which is the heart of any project. This methodology should combine creativity through design and material production of that idea into a space, following a more rigid guidelines that involve the writing of the entire project in detail, calculation and cost control, management of the work, to housing delivery to the customer. GOALS The main objectives of this program are: Acquiring a personalized work methodology to optimize, manage and control the different runtimes of a project. Learning to control the project at different scales until the development of construction details. Provide students with the knowledge and techniques of representation to present a visually neat project. At the end of the course, students will have material generated to develop a digital portfolio, enabling them to promote themselves in the workplace. CURRICULUM The Master in Interior Design is structured around the following subjects that are integrated into a final master project to provide the necessary tools to develop an interior design project. Space for reflection Provide the student references key figures in interior design housing which at the time represented a transgression or innovation, either by their way of being inhabited, or the use of construction materials, how to work with light, seeking to open the existing framework and sometimes too typecast you have the housing interior. It will seek to open the framework of the student, with the analysis and critique of space, the functional program to motivate students to experiment, investigate and transgress in the housing interior and generate a custom map references. Methodology and management: next steps in the project The student must master the steps in each phase of the project, based on a methodology that will allow customizing and should control the project from its beginning to its delivery to the customer. From the first idea from the customer briefing, calculate fees, through each phase of the project, reports, measurements and all necessary documentation to know how to manage the work, looking at the end of the course each student develops a personal process methodology . Facilities Introduce students to the implementation of a project installations, dimensioning. From the best location thereof within the project, the crossroads of different facilities and their problems. We work on the importance of light in the interior, from the analysis of the incidence of natural light in space, to the artificial light at the technical part such as light temperature, color rendering, types and effects to control one of the most important aspects interior design. plumbing, gas, electrical, data, air conditioning and heating are also covered in the interior design project for proper execution. Spaces and relations between them A historical and evolutionary view of space, combined with the functional and programmatic analysis of each stay and the possible relationships between them. The kitchen merges with the room and this in turn is related to the living room. Bathtubs leaving the bathroom to be located in the room where the bathroom is becoming a small spa. We delve into the degrees of privacy of a home that represents each stay. Sociology, new ways of living Most of the construction done today is aimed at what we call the "standard" family (father, mother, children). However we find great changes in the lives of individuals and social. Housing for young couples (with prospects of increase), housing for the elderly, single-parent homes, homes of youth groups, among others; which together with the increase of experience as co-living or co-hosting, posed changes focus when designing housing and adapted to new social needs. Designing spaces that can accommodate multiple uses and are adaptable, sometimes functional needs may limit future use. Work at home This module seeks to deepen programmatic issues that students can be found. It is increasingly common to find people who can do their work from home instead. We must therefore find a place within it that is comfortable, ergonomic, encouraging ... Working from home loosens many aspects to make your own schedule, avoid displacement, among others, but also need to create a separate space that psychologically allows spatially differentiate home to work giving special treatment to develop the activity in the most productive as possible. A part of the study and analysis of caseloads of shophouses, the student will look deeper into aspects related to work such as ergonomics. Styling, feel at home Colonize the interior of the projects by the people who occupy and work together to integrate the furniture, paintings, carpets, personal collections, curtains, objects in detail. The goal is to make housing a personalized, unique place where you feel comfortable, while we seek a harmony of all elements with space. Construction and production, we enter work Once you have written the technical side, begins the construction phase. Since it is extremely complex, it is necessary to have enough technique to build what we have projected. It is the time where the designer has to manage the relationship with industry, be able to solve problems that arise in the process and make decisions in a short period of time, it is to introduce students into the work with the different phases that compose, from demolition to housing coatings either level floors, ceiling, walls, woodwork and furniture, controlling the execution times to deliver the completed project to the client. Construction and production, materials The materials are a fundamental part of a work. You have to have control and sufficient knowledge of the different materials for proper execution, its different uses and ways to work them under different conditions to finish developing the most detail any constructive element, designing and solving possible problems. Representation techniques The importance of knowing how to present ideas to the client a visually appealing and intuitive way to give students the necessary tools for layout and prepare all the different documents generated in different programs into a single document or file ahead of its presentation. Also we give you the tools to see photo mount images that help sell the idea to the customer. The visual aspect is an essential tool for the project comes through the eyes tool.
