Administration programs provide students with hands-on training through internships or projects, as well as lectures. Students can expect four years of study, and often are required to take courses unrelated to administration, such as biology and literature, to round out their degree.

A few universities in the United States have extension programs in various parts of Jamaica. Most of the students who enroll in these part-time programs are working professionals who want to continue their education without having to relocate closer to the nation's Universities. A master’s program is a focused degree that requires about two years of classwork, research, and possibly a thesis paper to earn. This advanced program of study allows students to further specialize their schooling in an area that interests them.
