CTS College of Business and Computer Science

The Association of Business Managers and Administrators (ABMA) provide students with UK based international qualifications. Upon successful completion of the Level 6 (Advanced Diploma) students can gain direct entry into the final year of the University of Hertfordshire BSc degree specializing in one of the following –

  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology

The ABMA programme facilitates many entry points allowing students to start directly after CXC, students may even start at the higher levels depending on their current qualifications (after applying for exemptions) and even mature candidates may start as well.

There are three levels to the ABMA Programme

  • Level 4 Diploma
  • Level 5 Diploma
  • Level 6 Diploma

Each level may be completed in as little as 3 Months!

The Computing and Information Systems pathway targets many areas in the Information Technology Sector, some of which are Computer Programming and Databases. This pathway also disciplines you in the fields of Information Systems Analysis and Design, Information Presentation and Analysis, Web technologies, Web applications development and e-commerce strategy.

Level 4 Entry Requirements

Students must possess a GCSE, or equivalent, in Maths and English, at Grade A* – D; OR

Evidence of professional work experience can be submitted for a minimum of one year within a job sector that is related to the subject area that the learner intends to study. Examples of evidence that ABMA will accept includes:

  • Employer references detailing the learner’s duties and responsibilities (Job Letter)
  • Certificates of training/courses

Level 5 Entry Requirements

  • ABMA Level 4 Diploma OR
  • Two A levels at grade A* - D and 4 GCSEs, including Maths and English, both at Grades A* - D OR
  • A national or international qualification equivalent to the above

Level 6 Entry Requirements

  • ABMA Level 5 Diploma OR
  • A Higher National Diploma (HND) OR
  • A national or international qualification equivalent to the above

Mature Entry

Learners who do not possess any of the above can also submit evidence of professional work experience for a minimum of one year (Level 4), two years (Level 5) or four years (Level 6) within a job sector that is related to the subject area that the learner intends to study.

NB: Students should note that all ABMA qualifications are taught and assessed in English

Examples of evidence that ABMA will accept includes:

  • Employer references detailing the learner’s duties and responsibilities
  • Certificates of training/courses.

To assist with their request, learners are encouraged to submit details of all types of training that they have had to ABMA as part of their exemption application

Tuition Fees

  • Level 4: $500.00 per module
  • Level 5: $600.00 per module
  • Level 6: $700.00 per module
  • Repeating any amount of modules at either Level's 4, 5 or 6: $500.00

There are 4 semesters each year:

  • January to March
  • March to June
  • June to September
  • September to December
